Artwork that resonates with the viewer, that encourages them to think, to question and to act forms the basis of my creative portfolio and art practice. As a graphic designer, it has been instilled in me throughout my education, that there must be a strong rationale behind each piece of artwork created and that a viewer must be impacted, however minimal, by what they seen.
My practice is firmly placed for the most part in two key areas; community involvement and social justice. I see both of these areas as opportunities to improve the world around us, whether local, national or international. My goal is to inspire those who see my work to look more carefully at the world around them, to learn something from what they’ve seen and to use that information/ experience to make real change happen.
While my primary degree is in graphic design, the skillset which I have developed has enabled me to work outside this discipline on multiple occasions – with this work being selected for a number of international exhibitions.
